The General Machinist is responsible for creating quality parts produced on various machines such as but not limited to lathes, milling machinery and general shop equipment according to company plans, blueprints, and other diagrams. Responsibilities including reading and interpreting blueprints and manuals to determine production processes and requirements and inspection of quality parts for conformation to requirements. The General Machinist will detect equipment malfunctions and adjust machines. Report all malfunctions to their immediate supervisor.
Must-Have:
Interprovincial Red Seal CNC Machinist certification
Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints and other technical documents
Ability to follow written and oral instructions
Ability to work in a team environment
Mechanical and technical aptitude
Ability to work independently with little supervision
Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Safety conscious
