Hexagon's Autonomy & Positioning division is looking for a Project Manager, to join our high-tech engineering and manufacturing company that is committed to customer service excellence and continuous improvement. The Location: Hexagon is a global company with locations around the world. This position can be based in either Aberdeen,UK or Calgary, AB and offers the opportunity for hybrid working.

Responsibilities

As a Project Manager, responsibilities include:

  • Orchestrate and guide alignment between different stakeholders in multiple business groups
  • Provide leadership on product development projects by directing the project schedule, scope, cost and quality to deliver exceptional products aligned with business needs
  • Facilitate and oversee the approvals process for project changes
  • Communicate clearly and in a timely manner with stakeholders at all organizational levels by:
    • Leading project meetings
    • Overseeing project tracking and communication tools
    • Preparing regular project status reports and dashboard updates
    • Coordinating the creation of release notes and user documentation updates
  • Effectively collaborate with key groups and cross-functional development teams worldwide, to ensure project success using project planning and monitoring and control activities, in accordance with our development process
  • Proactively monitor, control, communicate and respond to project issues and risks
  • Foster a collaborative team environment within the project team
  • Listen to and address team concerns before issues arise and manage conflict
  • Actively contribute to ongoing continuous improvement initiatives, both by identifying new opportunities, and leading or assisting with implementations

Qualifications

Must-Have:

  • Post-secondary education in Engineering or Computer Science
  • PMP / PRINCE 2 or equivalent designation or relevant work experience will be considered in lieu
  • Solid understanding of project management methodologies
  • 10+ years of project management experience with increasing complexity, using Agile and Waterfall technologies.
  • Experience working in a product development environment
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and coordinate work in a cross-functional, cross-site, global team
  • Working hour flexibility to work with global teams across multiple time zones
  • Strong interpersonal skills for fostering productive relationships and creating a collaborative working atmosphere
  • Able to analyse, communicate, and address complex issues
  • Experience with project management and collaboration tools such as MS Project, Jira, Confluence
  • Valid passport for international business travel

  • Familiar with satellite positioning
  • Familiar with GNSS receiver operation and design
