Overview

Hexagon Autonomous Solutions looking for a Chief Engineer - Corrections to shape the technology management team, this role will provide you the opportunity to help shape the development of current and future correction services for Hexagon.  

 

As Chief Engineer you will play a vital role in managing and delivering timely, high-quality software and corrections services products, such as TerraStar-C Pro. Working with a talented team of business and technical professionals, you will also help define strategies that brings the together the best correction services technology. 

 

The Location: Hexagon is a global company with offices around the world. This position can be based in any of the Hexagon Autonomous Solutions locations.    

Responsibilities

The Chief Engineer - Corrections reponsibilites for non-automotive correction services including:

  • Technical leadership for the management and prioritization of new product features and new projects, including:  
    • Management and prioritization of the correction services technical backlog
  • Technical leadership throughout the project development cycle, including:
    • Initial technical project scope definition
    • Risk assements
    • Review test results and acceptance of new software versions
    • Prepare and report technical progress to executive management
  • Product management consultant for correction services technology including:
    • Service behaviour
    • New features
    • New business opportunities
  • External customer contact for the integration of Hexagon correction services products
  • Coordination and data analysis for second/third level support triage, and continuous correction service performance monitoring and reporting
  • Communicate clearly and in a timely manner with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Effectively collaborate with stakeholders from cross-functional and cross divisional development teams to ensure project success
  • Actively contribute to ongoing continuous improvement initiatives, both by identifying new opportunities, and leading or assisting with implementations

Qualifications

Must-Have:                       

  • BSc in Engineering or Computer Science
  • 5 years minimum GNSS correction services product development experience
  • A solid understanding of GNSS correction technology and methodologies 
  • Coordination skills to work in a cross-functional team
  • Strong interpersonal skills for fostering productive relationships and creating a cohesive working atmosphere
  • Ability to analyze, communicate, and address complex issues
  • Experience with project management and collaboration tools like Jira, Polarion
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities, demands, and timelines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to travel internationally up to 10% of the time.

Nice-to-Have:

  • Software development experience
  • Familiarity with the architecture and operation of TerraStar-C Pro including e-store, subscriptions, satellite (LBand) and TCP/IP communications
  • Familiarity with end-to-end GNSS positioning including receiver operation and positioning engines
