Overview

Hexagon's Autonomy & Positioning division is looking for an Software Test Infrastructure Developer- Python to add to our Software Infrastructure team. Reporting to the Team Lead, Software Test Engineering Team, you will design, develop and implement systems that meet user needs for general and customizable test platforms.  You will learn about our systems and utilize that knowledge to build a truly extensible and full featured system; and to support an ever-increasing demand for automation and testing. There will be many opportunities to solve challenging problems related to enabling high capacity, high reliability, scalability, and configurability.

 

Hexagon Autonomy & Positioning divisions Software Infrastructure group is a small but growing team responsible for maintaining, improving, and developing automated test infrastructure used in the verification and validation of software and hardware products.

The Location: This position is based in Calgary, AB.

Responsibilities

As a Software Test Infrastructure Developer, your responsibilities include:

  • Support, design, and develop all aspects of existing Jenkins / GitLab / GitHub based automated testing platform
  • Identify tools and implement processes that can automate manual tasks
  • Identify and solve testing infrastructure problems
  • Build new testing infrastructure to support expanding demand and capacity throughout the entire organization
  • Develop dashboards to present data for various stakeholders

Qualifications

Must-Have:                      

  • B.Sc. in Computer Science or Engineering or similar relevant experience
  • Experience working with CI/CD systems such as Jenkins / GitLab / GitHub
  • Adept at Python
  • Proven ability to create good user interfaces and API’s
  • Experience with various software testing methodologies and problem solving
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills

  • Integration with Database technologies
  • Understanding existing test frameworks, strengths and weakness
  • Virtual environments experience using like Pipenv, Poetry
  • GNSS Familiarity
  • Portfolio (GitHub OR sample projects)
