Overview

Hexagon Autonomous Solutions is looking for highly motivated and efficient Operations Manager to oversee various functions in our facility in Dowling, Ontario including but not limited to Order Management, Data Entry, Production, Inventory, Logistics, and Quality Control. This role will also cover internal engineering services/support. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills in collaboration, team participation, creative problem-solving, conflict resolution, group planning, and decision-making. They must be able to motivate, manage, and train a team of employees, create strategy and goals for team productivity and quality of work, maintain a positive attitude under pressure, and communicate reports and updates both locally and remotely.

The Location: Hexagon is a global company with offices around the world. This position is based in Dowling, Ontario.  

Responsibilities

As our Operations Manager, responsibilities include: 

  • Manage Order Management, Data Entry, Production, Inventory, Logistics, and Quality Control
  • Ensure effective inter-departmental communication and collaboration.
  • Set clear objectives and establish reporting structures.
  • Develop and implement efficiency improvement processes.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and guidelines.
  • Lead internal support as needed.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and team success.
  • Motivate, manage, and train the team.
  • Provide regular performance feedback and facilitate performance discussions.
  • Create opportunities for skill development and growth.
  • Work closely with all departments to ensure smooth processes and information flow.
  • Track and report Weekly/Monthly/Quarterly KPIs and metrics.
  • Identify gaps in performance and develop improvement tactics.
  • Communicate regularly with senior leaders on performance and key initiatives.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives and participate in financial planning and budget management.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in operations management.
