Overview

Hexagon's Autonomy & Positioning division is looking for a for a permanent, full time Management Accountant to join our Finance Team based in our Veripos Office. The Management Accountant is a member of the Veripos Global Finance Organisation and is responsible for accurate reporting of monthly cost center results.  

 

The role will include, liaising with operational departments to investigate variances in revenue and costs. Preparing monthly, quarterly and rolling cash, opex and revenue forecasts. Completing appropriate balance sheet reconciliations. Assisting in statutory audits and any other adhoc accounting matters. This is an exciting and challenging role within the Veripos Global Finance Organisation. Well suited to someone who is flexible and adaptable to meet the ever-changing business requirements as the company continues to expand. The role provides a great opportunity for professional growth as it gives exposure to many areas of the business.  

 

The Location: Hexagon is a global company with locations around the world. This position is based in Aberdeen, UK.

 

Responsibilities

As a Management Accountant responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for monthly cost center reporting and providing variance analysis commentary for management.
  • Liaise with Operational department and investigate variances in revenue and costs.
  • To familiarise with, and understand, commercial & operational issues to allow accurate monthly reporting.
  • To critically evaluate and monitor the quality and flow of information from internal and /or external service providers to ensure the correct, efficient and complete recording of financial records and forecasts, seeking advice where communications and data flow is incomplete or inaccurate.
  • To prepare monthly and rolling cash flow forecasts. And the preparation of quarterly revenue and opex forecasts.
  • To adhere to month end reporting deadlines.
  • Responsible for completion of appropriate Balance Sheet reconciliations.
  • To assist with statutory audits.

Qualifications

Must-Have:                       

  • Degree Educated / Part Qualified 
  • Strong Microsoft Excel experience

Key Success Factors:

  • Experience of working within a Finance Department

Nice-to-Have:

  • Studying towards professional accounting exams
  • Syteline experience
