Project Coordinator Intern

We are looking for a Project Coordinator Intern to help support our Perception Data Engineering team develop a cutting-edge perception system, by coordinating data collection at multiple sites globally.  The Project Coordinator Intern will work with a team of interns and contractors to arrange data collection events or trips, help make purchase orders, arrange equipment, help to identify and acquire additional data collection sites, and choreograph data collection days.  

The Location: Hexagon is a global company with offices around the world. This role is based in Detroit, Michigan. 

As our Project Coordinator Intern, responsibiltiies include: 

• Working with the data engineering team to identify best location for data work orders
  
• Arrange for team and equipment to be in the desired location on the data collection days
• Develop data collection choreography, costume changes, and act as the event director
  
• Track work progress, deliverables, and milestones in Jira
• Communicate and coordinate internally to ensure the project is completed on time
• Sites are international, so travel and international coordination required

Must-Have:

• 2 + years of college experience in business school or similar
  
• School project or work experience leading a team
• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
• Willingness to learn

Key Success Factors:

• Self motivation and problem solving
• Professional, self-motivated, detail oriented

Nice-to-Have:

• PMP or CSM certification
• Experience with Microsoft Projects and Jira
• Basic understanding of camera functionality, such as the effect of lighting conditions
  
• Knowledge of farm equipment, trailers, and trucks
  
• Experience with Amazon AWS
