Overview

Hexagon's Autonomy & Positioning division is looking for a highly motivated Project Coordinator to join our team of project managers. As our Project Coordinator, you will report to our Manager of Project Management and play a vital role in ensuring the successful delivery of projects.  Working with a talented team of project managers, program managers, and technical professionals, you will ensure that data is accurate, up to date, and available for key project decisions to be made.  You will learn practical project management skills while helping build a strong project team and project management community. The Location: Hexagon is a global company with offices around the world. This position is based in Calgary, AB. 

Responsibilities

As a Project Coordinator, responsibilities include: 

 

  • Develop, maintain, and track project schedules and costs.  Ensure project data is up-to-date, consistent, accurate, and overseen to the granularity required by the project 
  • Prepare dashboards and summaries of project data, metrics, and status to support stakeholder communication 
  • Maintain meeting minutes and action registers to help organize the work of the project team  
  • Assist the Project Manager with preparing budgets, forecasts, managing scope, risk, and contract changes 
  • Effectively collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional development teams to ensure project success  
  • Support the Project Manager throughout the project life cycle including project set-up, monitoring and controlling, and project close-out 
  • Build an effective Method of Operations to ensure data, metrics and reporting remains compliant to the Hexagon Autonomy & Positioning Project Management process 
  • Actively contribute to ongoing continuous improvement initiatives, both by identifying new opportunities, and leading or assisting with implementations 

Qualifications

Must-Have:                         

  • Post-secondary education in engineering, computer science, or business. Work experience will be considered in lieu 
  • 2+ years of experience in a Product Development or Project Management environment 
  • Experience with Jira for work management, including dashboarding, metrics, and advanced queries. 
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Project 
  • Intermediate to Advanced knowledge in Excel and/or PowerBI 
  • Ability to work effectively with team members across time zones 
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to influence others without direct authority

  • Proactive and persistent mindset with the ability to work effectively with others 

 

Nice-to-Have: 

  • B.Sc. in Engineering or Computer Science 
  • Scripting/automation knowledge (SQL) 
  • High level understanding of Microsoft Project 
  • Training in Project Management
