Procurement Specialist

This position is with Hexagon’s Autonomy & Positioning division, a global technology leader, pioneering end-to-end solutions industry leaders rely on for assured positioning and autonomy on land, sea and air. Within the Autonomy & Positioning division your work will contribute to the operation of our brand(s) NovAtel, AutonomouStuff, VERIPOS and Antcom.

The Location: Hexagon is a global company with locations around the world. This position is home-based in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. 

As a Procurement Specialist, you will:

• Direct procurement using MRP workbench and analyze and complete MRP exception report actions
• Collaborate with suppliers to communicate and implement NovAtel procurement strategies to achieve on time delivery and high-quality performance
• Support the execution of supply chain strategies such as Kanban, safety stocks, and other risk mitigation programs to ensure the highest quality, on-time delivery, and optimal cost
• Oversee RFI, RFP, and RFQ processes to meet service and project requirements
• Monitor and track shipments and provide proper documentation as required
• Coordinate quality issues resolution and expedite material shortages with suppliers
• Help maintain and setup parts in our ERP system and participate in continuous improvement projects

Must-Have:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a sustaining procurement or planning role
• Post-secondary education
• Experience and use of ERP/MRP, Kanban, Safety stock, and visual manufacturing systems
• Demonstrated ability to work independently to achieve set objectives and deliverables
• Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word and Outlook

• Bachelor's degree in Business or Supply Chain
• Proven leadership of cross-functional teams, with specific experience in facilitation roles
• Preferred experience in electronics manufacturing supply chain
• Lean manufacturing experience
• Project management skills
