Manager, Antenna Engineering 

We are looking for an experienced, strategic leader and visionary Manager of Antenna Engineering. Reporting to the General Manager, you will lead the team who defines and brings to market critical antenna technology and products for use in a wide range of positioning, navigation, timing and communication applications.

The Location: Hexagon is a global company with locations around the world. This position is based in the oceanside community of Torrance, CA. One of the best places to live in California with ocean beaches, plenty of parks and endless sunny days.



As Manager of Antenna Engineering, you will:

  • Serve as a key contributor to the division’s antenna strategy
  • Develop product development plans and prioritize development activities to meet customer requirements
  • Manage, coach, and lead a global team of 10 members comprised of RF, Antenna, and Mechanical Engineers and Technicians in the Design, development and testing of antennas and RF components
  • Manage the Technical Life-cycle of antenna product portfolio
  • Support Sales and Marketing with product recommendations, new design suggestions, and RFQ technical
  • Perform technical report writing which may include proposals, reports, test procedures and specifications
  • Lead Engineering Process improvement initiatives
  • Work with our parent company’s R&D team on the implementation of common processes and best practices to ensure that Antcom continuously improves its effectiveness
  • Manage key metrics, including:
    • Adherence to Product Development Schedules and Budgeted Cost
    • Product Return rate
    • Production Stability (Stop ship rate)
    • Internal and External CARs
    • Innovation – new processes or products
    • Cost reduction initiatives



  • A Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of experience in RF and antenna systems design and development
  • A Minimum of 2 years of prior people management experience
  • A consistent track record of delivering successful products to market
  • Applicants for select positions that require access to information controlled by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (“ITAR”) or the Export Administration Regulations (“EAR”) must be US Persons per ITAR §120.15 and EAR §772.1 (i.e., a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or admitted to the U.S. as an asylee or refugee), or be otherwise eligible to obtain required authorization from the U.S. Government to access controlled information. Employment is contingent upon Antcom’s ability to obtain such required authorization for the applicant

  • Ability to define and analyze complex problems, collect data, establish facts, develop solutions and gain support of all stakeholders 


  • MBA a plus
  • 10+ years of B2B experience in hardware technologies
  • Previous experience managing an antenna portfolio
  • Experience with Ansys HFSS
  • Experience with RF test equipment and software
  • Knowledge of robustness standards (MIL-STD-810G, DO-160G)
