As our Project Manager, Embedded Software reporting to the Manager of Project Management, you will play a vital role in delivering timely, high-quality firmware.  Working with a talented team of business and technical professionals, you will lead the detailed planning and implementation of multiple concurrent releases.  Drawing on your strong PM skills and experience, you will also have the opportunity to help shape NovAtel project management best practices.

  • Lead embedded software development projects by implementing Hexagon Autonomy and Positioning's project management and development processes
  • Develop and direct the project schedule, scope, cost, and quality to deliver exceptional products aligned with business needs
  • Effectively collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional development teams to ensure project success
  • Proactively monitor, control, and communicate project status
  • Develop a robust risk management plan and respond to project issues and risks
  • Facilitate and oversee the approvals process for project changes
  • Communicate clearly and in a timely manner with stakeholders at all organizational levels by:
    • Leading project meetings
    • Overseeing project tracking and communication tools
    • Preparing regular project status reports and dashboard updates
    • Coordinating the creation of release notes and user documentation updates
  • Foster a collaborative team environment within the project team
  • Listen to and address team concerns before issues arise and manage conflict
  • Actively contribute to ongoing continuous improvement initiatives, both by identifying new opportunities, and leading or assisting with implementations



  • Solid understanding of project management methodologies with a minimum of 3 years of firmware project management experience using Agile and Waterfall methodologies
  • 5 years' minimum combined product development and project management experience
  • Coordination skills to work in a cross functional team
  • Strong interpersonal skills for fostering productive relationships and creating a cohesive working atmosphere
  • Ability to analyze, communicate, and address complex issues
  • Experience with project management and collaboration tools like MS Project, Jira, Confluence
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities, demands, and timelines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • B.Sc. in Engineering or Computer Science
  • PMP designation (or equivalent)
  • Embedded software development experience
  • Familiarity with GNSS receiver operation and design
