The Process Innovation Manager is a unique opportunity in the Hexagon Autonomy & Positioning division for a curious, driven, ambitious leader looking to take the business to the next level.  Reporting to the Director of Program and Process Management, the Process Innovation Manager will be passionate about engineering process changes, optimization and productivity. 

You will be a member of the Engineering Leadership team and directly work with the VP Core Engineering and other senior engineering leaders to identify and implement process updates and optimizations.


The position will play a key role in driving change, coordinating engineering process planning, implementation and optimization across all domains and generating creative solutions to unique problems.

  • Drive change management and implement change within both internal and external processes, helping individuals and teams impacted by a change make the successful transitions that enable them to engage, adopt and use the change. 
  • Analyze processes throughout the engineering organization to thoroughly understand inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with the VP Engineering and Engineering Leadership team on planning out, leading and tracking progress on process improvement initiatives.
  • Work with Senior Leaders throughout the organization to understand functional goals and recommend resulting improvements based on research of current processes, roles and positions
  • Develop, configure and optimize end-to-end organizational engineering processes based on review and collaboration with functional teams
  • Perform risk assessments and root cause analyses
  • Document observations and present information in relevant presentations to key stakeholders
  • Effectively demonstrate to colleagues and stakeholders, through partnership and collaboration, how suggested process improvements will enable organizational effectiveness and efficiency.



  • Bachelor’s degree required in engineering.
  • 5-10 years of industry experience in development engineering and/or project management
  • Strong technical writing skills and presentation abilities
  • Experience with industry standards, reference models and development methodologies such as ASPICE, ISO 26262, IATF-16949, DO-178, SAE J3061.
  • Proven experience driving change in a technical environment
  • Experience with using data to analyze and solve issues
  • You have a curiosity and passion for learning how an engineering organization works.
  • Ability to leverage past experiences from experts and analytical abilities to understand management and development processes, identifying areas for process improvements while seeking to streamline.
  • Communication skills that convey and encompass a strong desire for efficiency and organization.
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment as well as ability to work independently effectively, and are capable of coaching/teaching/mentoring members of a larger technical team for process adherence.  You work cooperatively with others, seeking the overall success for the organization. 
  • Demonstrates the ability to initiate, plan, execute, control, and complete projects of various magnitude
  • Clear and concise oral and written communication skills and ability to author messages for different audiences. Able to facilitate the flow of information up, down and across the organization (formally and informally).
