Material Handler

Antcom, a wholly owned subsidiary of NovAtel and part of the Hexagon Group, specializes in quick-turn, customized design of high-quality antenna products. We excel in designing, developing and manufacturing products for a variety of industries including aerospace, defense, marine, agriculture, and space.

In this role, you will be involved in the shipping, receiving, storing, distributing and order fulfilment of advanced communication and antenna products. You will also play a key role in assisting operations with paint and vendor orders/deliveries.

Key Responsibilities

• Checks goods received and for distribution against purchase orders or invoices
• Maintains records of goods and unsatisfactory items
• Inspects antennas and accessories before packaging
• Ensures all requirements for shipments are met, including hardware, certifications and checklists
• Packages and prepares products and merchandise for final shipment
• Verifies travellers/routers for all required signatures before shipments
• Posts weights and shipping charges
• Prepares and maintains records of merchandise shipped
• Examines, stocks and distributes merchandise, products and materials in inventory warehouses and manufacturing lines
• Stocks all shipping supplies
• Delivers paint and inventory parts

Must-Have: 

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 years related experience in material handling or warehousing, preferably in a production environment
• Current and valid driver’s license, satisfactory driving record, and proof of insurability
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to follow verbal and written work instructions
• Ability to carry products and material weighing up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work shift work if required (5:00AM-2:00PM, 2:30PM-11:30PM); May also be required to work overtime, including weekends

• Familiarity with ISO9001:2008 and other quality and workmanship standards
• Experience and use of visual manufacturing processes and systems
• Experience working in the aerospace or defense industries
• Lean warehouse and materials management experience
