Overview

Hexagon Autonomy & Positioning division, part of Hexagon, is looking for an experienced HR, payroll and benefits professional to be responsible for advising and administering employee benefits, leave of absences and payroll for our multi-state US operations comprised of approximately 175 employees across 10 states.  As an integral part of our HR team reporting to the Manager of Human Resources, you will draw upon your knowledge and experience to advise us on US payroll and benefit matters and lead process improvements for a growing high-tech company committed to quality and continuous improvement. 

Responsibilities

  • Serve as subject matter expert for all queries relating to payroll and benefits (federal, state and local) for four legal entities
  • Prepare and process payroll; review and file quarterly and annual payroll returns
  • Complete annual 5500 filing, 401k audit of contributions and true-up calculations
  • Reconcile and manage group benefit billing and reporting
  • Manage payroll & benefits onboarding for all new hires and lead open enrolment in conjunction with local HR Managers
  • Coordinate leave of absences; ensuring compliance with federal, state and local leave regulations as well as company policy
  • Maintain employee payroll and benefits records
  • Ensure employees are informed of benefit changes; prepare and deliver regular employee communication and training
  • Identify, recommend and implement system and process improvements
  • Serve as back-up for processing our Canadian payroll

 

Qualifications

Must-Have:

  • At least 5 years of experience administering payroll and benefits in multiple states including California and Illinois
  • Some related college education
  • Demonstrated proficiency with HR & payroll systems as well as Excel
  • Experience implementing system and process improvements
  • Applicants for select positions that require access to information controlled by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (“ITAR”) or the Export Administration Regulations (“EAR”) must be US Persons per ITAR §120.15 and EAR §772.1 (i.e., a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or admitted to the U.S. as an asylee or refugee), or be otherwise eligible to obtain required authorization from the U.S. Government to access controlled information. Employment is contingent upon Antcom’s ability to obtain such required authorization for the applicant

  • Good working knowledge of ADP’s Workforce Now
  • Knowledge of administering payroll in states such as Illinois, Colorado and Texas
  • Payroll certification
  • Multi-lingual (Vietnamese)
