  • Overview

    With a focus on customer, support Antcom's Application Engineer will help to deliver high end technical support to our customers in a rapid growth, high technology electronics manufacturing environment.  In this role, you will have a direct impact by identifying and providing reliable solutions for all technical issues to assure complete customer satisfaction throughout the product lifecycle.

     

    Responsibilities

    • Serve as a key point-of-contact for technical support to our customers throughout the  lifecycle of our products.
    • Understand our product portfolio, capabilities and utilize this information to help our customers find the best product solution.
    • Clarify true customer needs to ensure that we give the best solutions to our customers when problems arise.
    • Partner with our customers to create Product Requirement Documents (PRDs) to manage requirements of new product development effects.
    • Provide best-in-class support to our customers throughout the Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) process.  Write up root cause analysis (RCA) reports based on technical input from our engineers and technicians.
    • Provide customer feedback to our Engineering team to drive continuous improvements to products and processes for enhancing customer satisfaction.
    • Review technical requirements and End Use Statement (EUS) responses from customers. 
    •  Interface with the export compliance team and provide technical expertise to support export classification determinations.
    • Travel to customer sites to provide technical support on products and processes.

     

    Qualifications

    Must-Have:

    • Four-year engineering degree with 5+ years’ experience in a product development environment
    • Antenna or RF engineering background
    • Experience working in aerospace and/or defense
    • Good oral and written communication skills
    • Ability to manage customer expectations and accurately communicate technical information between our Engineering team and our customers
    • Good working knowledge of MS Office
    • Ability to write reports and drive actions to completion
    • Ability to travel within the U.S. and internationally for typically <1 week at a time.
    • Must be a U.S. person to access our ITAR-registered facility (typically U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident, i.e. Green Card Holder)

    Nice-to-Have: 

    • In-depth knowledge of navigation and communication antennas and systems
    • Antenna design engineering experience including experience designing GPS/GNSS antennas
    • Experience communicating directly with customers in a technical / engineering role
    • Knowledge of robustness standards including MIL-STD-810 and DO-160
