  • Overview

    Veripos Service Delivery Group is responsible for delivering real time corrections to Veripos clients. We maintain a diverse network of GNSS reference stations, data from which is relayed to our 24/7 manned NCC where it is analysed in real-time prior to being packaged and delivered to clients primarily via satellite systems.

     

    As part of this shift team you will ensure the quality of GNSS reference station systems and availability of real time corrections to clients as wells as providing customer support via the Veripos Helpdesk. Proactive troubleshooting and identification of GNSS and network issues must be performed during shifts, the shifts being 12hrs, on a 4 day on 4 day off rotation. With testing and installation of new services and systems, for use in one of Veripos’ three globally located NCCs, an integral part of the position, some international onshore travel may be required from time to time.

    Responsibilities

    • Installation, configuration and maintenance of network devices and servers
    • Ensuring the performance, quality, accuracy and reliability of all DGPS systems
    • Monitoring and reporting performance of services to clients and regions
    • Provision of technical assistance, support and advice to clients through the VERIPOS helpdesk
    • The role will also occasionally be required to install and maintain the VERIPOS infrastructure by carrying out installation or maintenance on VERIPOS reference stations and infrastructure worldwide as required
    • Production of reports, QA procedures, manuals and any other related documentation pertaining to operation and support of DGPS services
    • Testing and reporting on new services and equipment that may be used by the group from time to time

    Qualifications

    Must-Have:                       

     

    • Diploma level or above in Electronics, Information Technology or a related vocational field
    • Relevant experience in a similar role and knowledge of offshore Survey/Seismic/GNSS operations is preferable

    Or 1st/2nd Line service desk support experience

    Or Network / System installation / trouble shooting experience

     

    Key Success Factors:

     

    • Knowledge of Networking and Linux/Windows
    • Analytical skills

    Nice-to-Have:

     

    • Practical implementation/installation of remote systems, including GNSS based systems would be advantageous
    • Relevant experience of GNSS/SatComs
    • Report writing skills
