  • Overview

    The Production group is responsible for the assembly, testing, configuration, packaging and shipping of GPS products.  As, Team Lead, you will provide leadership to 5 - 8 assemblers and senior assemblers who assemble, test, configure, package and ship products in a lean manufacturing environment.

    Production teams work in two rotating schedules: 7:00 am – 2:45 pm / 2:30 pm – 10:15 pm (May require some overtime work, including weekends)


    Responsibilities as Production Team Lead include:

    • Daily production jobs planning, scheduling and level loading to meet customer’s deliveries
    • Leading daily standup meetings to review process defects, scraps and identify root causes
    • Leading the team in continuous improvements activities
    • Scheduling Assemblers training requirement with Production Instructor
    • Supporting the team in meeting daily schedule requirements at all work cells, ensuring safety and quality
    • Mentoring and coaching staff to increase individual and group capability
    • Coordinating work orders, rework and repairs with other departments
    • Providing support by knowing all the jobs performed by their team members so they can relieve workers, fill in for absentees, or help workers who need assistance or are falling behind
    • Creating and executing development plans
    • Setting and monitoring objectives for direct reports



    • High School Diploma and a minimum of 3 years of relevant manufacturing supervisory experience
    • Leadership experience including coaching, mentoring and team building
    • Good working knowledge of MS Office and Outlook
    • Good Knowledge of Lean manufacturing
