    NovAtel is looking for an Applications Engineer to join our growing team primarily focused on the worldwide automotive / autonomous driving market.  NovAtel has entered  this market very successfully and requires to strengthen our capabilities to meet the growing demands of our customers by providing product support, application support and field services on NovAtel hardware and software, and on related GNSS & INS topics.


    The team also provides other services internally and externally to Customers, Sales, Product Management, Project Management and Marketing to help ensure the cohesive and comprehensive delivery of products and materials. Working closely with internal engineering teams ensures escalated issues are resolved in a timely manner while continuing to be the customer liaison and maintaining the customer interface.



    As our Applications Engineer, you would be responsible for:

    • Providing front line product and application support on NovAtel Automotive related Hardware, Software, and related GNSS & INS topics to internal and external customers
    • Providing customer training, demonstrations, technical assistance, and technical sales support
    • Working closely with Sales / Automotive Business Development in accordance to the market needs and agreed priorities
    • Providing frequent support to automotive events and trade fairs
    • Liaising with other departments regarding technical matters
    • Formulating and implementing procedures and plans for resolving problems
    • Performing software testing, verification, bug reports, and field trial coordination
    • Reviewing technical documentation materials and manuals
    • Generating application notes for frequently asked questions and knowledge base



    • Degree in Geomatics, Electrical Engineering or related field, with 2+ years of related industry experience
    • Proven problem solving skills
    • Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to get on with others
    • English fluency with excellent verbal and written skills
    • Ability and willingness to travel internationally

    • Experience with automotive customers and automotive specific application of GNSS technology
    • Experience working directly with customers, preferably in the delivery of support or services
    • Experience in GNSS and INS systems installation and/or troubleshooting
