    NovAtel's Business Service team has an immediate 18 months contract position opening for an experienced professional with outstanding software development skills. This critical role helps to maintain NovAtel existing e-commerce business system and develop the cutting edge new NovAtel e-commerce business system.

    In this 18 month contract position, the Software Engineer will be responsible to:

    • Develop our e-commerce system in various software languages
    • Apply exceptional coding skill to complete product features
    • Contribute to the backend server programming
    • Write software design documents
    • Develop unit tests to ensure correct functioning of methods.
    • Testing, debugging and technical support
    • Support development of product release lifecycle management strategies
    • Advocating continuous improvement




    • B.Sc. in Computer, or Software Engineering or Computing Science
    • 3+ years of e-commerce development experience
    • Strong programming skill in at least one of the languages: C#, Java, Delphi, C++
    • Experience in building Web services APIs, REST APIs
    • Experience with database design
    • Experience with unit testing
    • Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, TCP/IP network programming, multithreading
    • Familiarity with object oriented software design and design patterns
    • Familiarity with agile principles, values and practices

    • Skill in multi-tier Web server development, HTML, Javascript, SOAP, JSON, and XML
    • Experience with JIRA and Confluence
