  • Overview

    The Manufacturing Process Development (MPD) team goal is to accelerate Time to Market of sustainable and manufacturable products.  The successful candidate will work collaboratively with Production and Engineering to continuously improve manufacturing processes and product design.  Respond to production line down issues by effectively identifying root cause and implement corrective and preventative actions. Lead the standardization of work and ensure Jigs and Fixtures lead to process quality and efficiency. Interaction with Engineering

    Responsibilities

    • Problem solve production issues using established data driven methodologies (8D, Lean)
    • Quickly address line stops to maximize line uptime
    • Continuously improve assembly JIGs and Fixtures in production
    • Continual improvement of manufacturing process through first pass yield and standard work compliance monitoring
    • Equipment maintenance and trouble shooting

    Qualifications

    Must-Have:

    • Engineering Degree or Mechanical/Process Engineering Diploma combined with up to 5 years’ experience (New Grads will be considered for the position)
    • Technical aptitude and an understanding of mechanical enclosure assembly processes
    • Hands on equipment and process problem solving
    • Strong influencing and organizational skills
    • Individually motivated and attention to detail
    • Excellent communication skills, including technical writing of work instructions and process documents
    • Computer skills (MS Office, Adobe, ProE or equivalent tool set etc…)

    Nice-to-Have

    • Background and experience in a manufacturing role
    • Lean training and experience to drive process improvement
    • Ultra-Sonic Welding
