  • Overview

    As a global technology leader in positioning solutions, we are currently searching for a professional, collaborative and hands-on HR Advisor to support our growing business in California and the US. Reporting to the VP of HR in Calgary, Canada and accountable to the local General Manager, your strong generalist background will assist in providing guidance and support to approximately 65+ employees on site and another 30+ employees at other locations across the US. As part of a global HR team focused on delivering top notch service to our internal customers, you will partner with management to attract, develop and retain the best employees.


    • Manage the recruitment and new hire process
    • Provides guidance to management in the development and implementation of recruitment strategies to ensure the availability of skilled people, and the selection of the right people with the right skills and motivation to meet our current and future business requirements
    • Provides guidance and support to managers and employees on a variety of employment-related matters
    • Prepares, updates, and recommends HR policies and procedures
    • Maintains knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation and ensures the organization’s compliance.
    • Provides leadership to the Health and Safety Committee and ensures compliance with OSHA
    • Partners with management to identify and assess training needs; coordinates training and development
    • Maintains employee files and documentation
    • Participates and/or leads initiatives to develop and implement programs, practices or process improvements



    • A Bachelor’s degree in business preferably with a concentration in Human Resources
    • At least 5 years of experience in a HR generalist role
    • Experience with the recruitment and selection of professional, technical and production roles; some exposure or experience with applicant tracking systems
    • Experience working with people from various cultures and backgrounds
    • Excellent communication and business writing skills
    • Solid organization, planning and time management skills
    • Proven analytical skills and a good working knowledge of Excel
    • Must be a US person (i.e. US citizen or permanent resident) as we are a ITAR registered facility

    • Capable of building and maintaining strong relationships with all levels of employees and management
    • Solid coaching and advisory skills as it relates to working through matters with managers and employees
    • Ability to quickly learn and effectively use a variety of systems and technology


    • HR Certification from HRCI or Society for Human Resource Management
    • Experience working in technology, aerospace or defense industries
