  • Overview

    Antcom, part of the Hexagon Group of companies, specializes in quick-turn, customized design of high-quality antenna products. We excel in designing, developing and manufacturing products for a variety of industries including aerospace, defense, marine, agriculture, and space industries. We are currently searching for a highly motivated Manufacturing Engineer to lead Continuous Improvement efforts and Design For Manufacturability initiatives across our product portfolio. In this newly established role, the successful candidate will have a direct impact on business success by growing our manufacturing processes with a focus on continuous improvement.


    • Provide best-in-class Design For Manufacturability (DFM) feedback to product design engineers.
    • Lead continuous improvement efforts both on-site and at suppliers.
    • Identify and resolve product quality issues, both at suppliers and internally. Travel to suppliers for on-site problem resolution as required.
    • Provide leadership on product issue management and root cause analysis.
    • Develop and maintain manufacturing processes and work instructions.
    • Design fixtures and jigs, introduce into Production, and maintain.
    • Participate in prototype and pilot builds of new products. Write build reports that capture the issues and drive those issues to resolution.
    • Validate Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and deviation notices, and then introduce changes into Production.
    • Conduct on-site supplier assessments and corrective action resolutions.
    • Provide technical support for Production issues.
    • Collaborate with our parent company’s manufacturing process development team to implement common processes and best practices.




    • Four-year engineering degree with 5+ years manufacturing experience or a technical certification with 8+ years of manufacturing experience
    • Good working knowledge of MS Office including Project and Outlook
    • Excellent communication skills including report writing and driving actions to completion
    • Ability to travel within the U.S. and internationally. Typically <1 week at a time.
    • Manufacturing process development experience
    • Must be a US person as Antcom is an ITAR-registered facility

    • Experience working with products for the aerospace or defense industries
    • Knowledge of robustness standards (MIL-STD-810G, DO-160G)
    • Familiarity with Pro/Engineer or other 3D modeling software
    • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing
    • Experience with plastic injection molding, CNC machining, electroless plating, and other manufacturing processes
    • Experience with SMT electronics assembly or Antenna Manufacturing
    • Quality and auditing training/certification
