    NovAtel is currently hiring a Material Handler/Inventory Analyst to join our team.  Our Materials group is responsible for inventory management of all materials from receiving and inspection to material handling.     Responsibilities

    Reporting to Team Lead, Materials, the Material Handler/Inventory Analyst is responsible to:

    • Perform daily inventory transactions to support in-house manufacturing
    • De-trash and dispose of boxes and other packaging
    • Pick and setup materials for production jobs
    • Ensure inventory and related processes, transactions and records are accurate and sufficient
    • Ensure daily activities are performed in a timely and accurate manner
    • Ensure department and NovAtel goals and objectives are met
    • Seek and implement continuous improvements using Lean methodologies

    Qualifications

    Must-Have:

    • High School Diploma
    • 2-5 years related experience in material handling or warehousing, preferably in a production environment
    • Experience and use of visual manufacturing processes and systems
    • Strong Organizational Skills
    • Ability to follow verbal and written work instructions
    • Ability to lift 40 pounds
    • Ability to work shift work, if required (7:00 AM - 2:45 PM, 2:30PM-11-15PM); May also be required to work Overtime, including weekends

    • Adaptable and able to work in a fast-paced team environment with minimal supervision
    • Able to interact effectively with office staff and senior management

    Nice-to-Have: 

    • Experience and use of Inventory Management Systems
    • Experience in cycle counting and investigation of variances
    • Lean warehouse and materials management experience
