As a GNSS Technical Support Specialist for Veripos based out of Houston, TX, you will utilize your technical understanding of marine electronic equipment to support Veripos clients via telephone, email and directly on client vessels in the field. The role encompasses all aspects of end-to-end customer support including equipment testing, corrective actions, shipping/receiving, complete system installations and troubleshooting issues in the field.

Veripos, a wholly owned subsidiary of NovAtel and part of the Hexagon Group, is a provider of high precision navigation and positioning products and services to the offshore marine oil and gas industry.


  • Full system installations on-board vessels offshore/near port in accordance with project specific procedures.
  • Assist with and implement all processes and methods to ensure delivery of the best worldwide 24-hour customer support and training in the market place;
  • Provide technical support and fault rectification for all tiers of VERIPOS users and ensure satisfactory close out of all faults;
  • Be part of the 24/7 support team and provide weekend cover on a rotational basis;
  • On-going testing, evaluation, assessment and reporting of performance of all current and new VERIPOS products, services and related upgrades;
  • Assist with distribution of all product and service updates such as firmware, software and changes to hardware and services to ensure all users are up-to-date;
  • Carry out and conduct Site Acceptance Testing of all new products and services as well as all revisions of existing Product and Services;
  • Ensure that all documents used during or resulting from any projects are prepared in accordance with company quality procedures and issued to the proper authority for issue and archiving;
  • Ensure that the final product/service is compliant to client’s specification, meeting all project requirements as stated in the operational procedures;
  • Ordering, receiving and shipping parts and materials for shop and or project installations;
  • Responsible for the preparation of:
    • Operational Technical Reports as required
    • Technical Installation Drawings
    • Relevant QA procedures and manuals
    • Safety documentation such as Task Risk Assessments, Toolbox talks and Working at Height checklists


Must Have:

  • 3-5 years’ experience working with electronics hardware
  • General understanding of navigation technology
  • Hands on electronics testing
  • Experience working on off shore vessels
