    Veripos is a provider of high precision navigation and positioning products and services to the offshore marine oil and gas industry. We are looking for a full time GNSS Systems Engineer to join our R&D department in Aberdeen or Nottingham.

    As a GNSS Systems Engineer you will be working at the cutting edge of GNSS technology with teams across Hexagon Positioning Intelligence (HPI) to shape and support the development of new GNSS correction services and to provide ongoing support to existing services. The role will include aspects of service development such as creating robust and complete requirements for correction content and delivery, designing system architectures, and functional and performance verification.  



    • Create robust and complete systems requirements in response to business needs
    • Create and review design documentation which includes system architectures, design specifications, test plans and test results
    • Develop, maintain, improve and apply system engineering processes within the domain of corrections services
    • Ensure that correction generation processes, algorithms and system architectures are comprehensively documented, maintained and monitored
    • Investigation of system level problems and resolving defects
    • Work with the Chief Engineer to maintain a correction services roadmap
    • Represent HPI at key conferences globally and in standardisation forums (e.g. RTCM) which may affect the way in which HPI provides its correction services
    • Engage with new partners as required to assist in incorporating correction services into their products successfully



    • B.Sc. in Geomatics/Surveying, Engineering, Computer Science, or Applied Mathematics with 5+ years of industry experience
    • In-depth technical knowledge of GNSS
    • Systems Engineering expertise applied to complex technical solutions
    • Strong data analysis skills
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills

    • Excellent interpersonal skills and able to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team across several locations
    • Ability to work under own initiative and prioritise tasks



    • M.Sc or Ph.D in Geomatics/Surveying, Engineering, Computer Science, or Applied Mathematics 
    • Experience with Precise Point Positioning technologies
    • Expertise in GNSS data formats, such as RTCM, and delivery protocols
    • Experience working in development environments that follow standards such as ISO-16949, RTCA DO-178B
