Veripos is a provider of high precision navigation and positioning products and services to the offshore marine oil and gas industry. We are looking for a full time Project Manager to join our R&D department in Aberdeen. 

As a Project Manager, you will be working within the Veripos technical team and collaborating with the wider Hexagon Positioning Intelligence group on a variety of satellite positioning related projects and products including, but not limited to, our marine product line.

The role encompasses all aspects of project management e.g. leadership and co-ordination of all aspects of the ongoing projects including planning, organising, staffing, and controlling project costs and quality.


  • Project Management
    • Ensure work is conducted to the required scope and quality within time and budget whilst following all technical department and project management processes
    • Preparing, planning and managing projects and their inherent quality, costs, changes and risks to a successful conclusion
    • Managing project risks, including the development of contingency plans
    • Liaison with the project engineering lead to ensure that work is neither overlooked nor duplicated, ensuring interdependencies with other projects are identified and controlled.
    • Monitoring and reporting on overall progress and use of resources to stakeholders, initiating corrective action where necessary
    • Adopting and applying appropriate technical and quality strategies and standard
  • Program Management
    • Assist in planning, resourcing and controlling the delivery of the program and its activities in accordance with the priorities of the organisation.



  • Qualification in a technical discipline required at B.Sc. 2:1 minimum,
  • 5+ years’ experience of project management in product development
  • 5+ years’ experience of offshore surveying / positioning
  • Experience of effectively managing subcontractors, design partners and vendors within the UK and overseas.

  • Set priorities, develop a work schedule, and monitor progress towards goals, and track details, data, information and activities.
  • Determine strategies to move the organisation forward, set goals, create and implement actions plans, and evaluate the process and results.


  • Knowledge of marine positioning and satellite navigation
  • Experience of working with “offshored” software development projects (India preferably)
