As NovAtel's Software Process Analyst you will provide end to end stewardship of our processes for Software/Firmware development and Verification & Validation. In addition to your deep understanding of best in class software development practices, you will leverage your excellent leadership and facilitation skills to refine existing processes and introduce new ones that help our development teams be maximally effective. This is a newly created role with high visibility within the Engineering team, exposure to senior level management and an opportunity to make a real impact.


  • Process creation, documentation, implementation and maintenance
  • Process compliance reporting, including conducting internal audits
  • Identifying and leading Continuous Improvement efforts to address deficiencies and improve efficiency
  • Process change management and training
  • Developing and refining metrics for tracking development and test compliance, quality, progress and productivity
  • Gap analysis with respect to established Quality Management Systems and development capability frameworks
  • Process tailoring as appropriate on a project by project basis



  • B.Sc. in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent
  • 5+ years’ experience in a software development and test environment
  • Practical experience in process development and deployment
  • Well versed in Continuous Improvement methodologies, tools, and techniques
  • Familiarity with a variety of Software development models and quality frameworks (eg. SPICE, CMMI)
  • Experience with systematic approaches for identifying and assessing metrics and KPIs
  • Experience with issue tracking and collaboration tools
  • Must be able to achieve Controlled Goods and Reliability level security status

  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, Collaborator, Polarion RMT, Smartsheet
  • Embedded FW development experience
  • Knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 26262
  • BA certification
