Overview

As the Product Manager for NovAtel's SMART Antennas you will be responsible for capturing the essence of "what the user wants" and translating this into a clear vision of customer needs and the functionality required to allow our customers to get their job done effectively and effeciently. This role will also be reponsible for establishing and overseeing product launch and product roadmapping activities. 

 

You will have opportunities to interact with our customers and partners within various markets with an initial focus on agriculture, as well as working closely and collaboratively with engineering, sales, project managers and operations. Your efforts will drive advancement and innovation on existing and new products, as well as being a key contributor to growing sales for the SMART antenna line of products.

Responsibilities

The Product Manager, SMART Antennas is responsible for:

  • Strategize and plan how best to represent the company’s value proposition, products and services related to SMART Antennas
  • Understand the buying criteria of the company’s SMART Antenna customers and tailor product marketing to these needs
  • In collaboration with the Portfolio Manager:
    • Recommend the Product roadmap & future product definition
    • Product positioning & value proposition
    • Product-specific collateral and sales support as required
    • Competitive analysis and evaluation
    • Create product proposals; establish the business case
  • Champion product through lifecycle; from idea to end of life
  • Execute product launch activities, product sheets, feature briefs and other relevant collateral related to new products and services
  • Financial forecasts and quarterly financial reporting against forecast

Qualifications

Must-have:

  • Technical degree (geomatics engineering preferred)
  • 1 to 3+ years of experience in an Engineering discipline
  • 3+ years experience in high technology electronics environment
  • Basic understanding of the product development processes
  • Basic understanding of GNSS/GPS
  • Experience using and configuring geomatics products
  • Strong writing skills from both technical and marketing perspectives
