As Hexagon PI grows and diversifies, our business and the regulatory environment in which we operate has grown more complex.  As a result, we have a need for an experienced professional with an extensive background in strategic contracts management and general legal practices to lead our Contracts & Compliance team.  Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this role will be responsible for the development and review of all contracts and compliance programmes, including export compliance. The successful candidate will be a confident self-starter with strong knowledge of international legal concepts, a knack for negotiations and the ability to lead a diverse team.


As the Director, Contracts & Compliance you will guide and lead a team of 5 Contracts & Compliance professionals located in North America and the UK. The team’s primary responsibilities are:

  • The development, review and negotiation of contracts for the supply of goods and services in jurisdictions around the globe as well as a range of other contracts, including non-disclosure agreements, technology development and license agreements and dealer agreements.
  • Development of processes, practices and related training material to ensure adherence to various internal compliance programmes including the code of conduct, anti-corruption, anti-trust and competition, and government procurement compliance programmes.
  • Development of processes, practices and related training to ensure compliance with externally imposed regulations which will have an impact on business operations.  This includes heavily regulated areas such as data protection, e-privacy, equalities, money laundering and tax evasion legislation.
  • Management of the export and import compliance programme which ensures the necessary permits and authorizations are obtained to move controlled goods and data between jurisdictions, including Canada, the US and the UK.  
  • Maintaining corporate records, including minute books, for all legal entities and ensuring timely statutory registrations and filings.
  • Assisting with contract dispute resolution and providing guidance and direction with respect to dealing with complex legal interpretations.



  • A degree in Law
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in contracts management
  • Experience in leading a team of professionals
  • Strong negotiation skills and known for exercising sound judgment
  • Expert knowledge of business law, legal concepts, contract development and negotiation practices
