NovAtel is growing and we are currently in need of a permanent, full-time System Administrator to join our team. As an advanced system administrator you will use your expert knowledge in working with Active Directory, Group Policy and Powershell. NovAtel is running multiple vSphere environments and applicants are required to be very experienced with vSphere 5.5 or newer.

 

NovAtel’s environment includes vSphere running in traditional block storage (Hitachi), a growing vSphere environment in Simplivity hyper-converged infrastructure. It doesn’t get much more interesting than our environment. Multiple domains, multi-tenant networks, multi-tenant storage and NAS. In addition, we have to be compliant with cybersecurity framework NIST-800-171 and so, knowledge of administrating Active Directory in this context would be valuable.

Responsibilities

As System Administrator, you will be responsible for:

  • Advanced administration of Windows Server based Active Directory in a NIST-800-171 environment
  • Administration of vSphere including vSphere replication and Site Recovery Manager in a multi-tenant environment
  • Administering Hitachi storage arrays and NAS clusters
  • Administration of Exchange Online (Office 365)
  • Administration of Mimecast mail hygiene service
  • Respond to Incidents and Service Requests from ServiceNow
  • Provide support and guidance to the Desktop Support Team

Qualifications

Must-Have:                       

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working with all aspects of a Windows Server/Windows Domain environment
  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science or related field
  • Expert knowledge of Active Directory including Group Policy, DHCP, DNS
  • Strong experience working with and administering vSphere, vCenter, vSphere replication and SRM
  • Strong experience of Powershell scripting

  • Good with customer communications

Nice-to-Have:

  • Any storage knowledge – Hitachi Data Systems block and NAS preferred but others considered
  • F5 load balancer/APM experience
  • ITIL training
  • Knowledge of, or experience with, administering Active Directory in a NIST-800-171 environment
